3 ways a crane can help you prepare for summer

As the days get longer and the sun shines a little warmer, people across the Northwest start preparing for summer. Whether that means breaking out the grill or breaking out your favorite shorts, one thing is for sure — many people will be looking forward to their first day on the water.

Dock SystemIt doesn’t matter if you live in North Idaho year-round, or if you’re a snowbird who is only in Eastern Washington for a few warm months. Summer time is the time to be on one of the many lakes and rivers found throughout the region — and spring is the time to prepare.

As you’re commissioning your boat for summer and dusting off those lifejackets, think about how your boat or dock needs to be prepared for summer. You may not realize it, but crane and riggings can be a big help as you get back on the water.

Here are three ways a crane can help you prepare for summer:

  1. Moving boats
Many larger boats can be a hassle to get in and out of the water. If you have a new boat, including a motorboat or a sailboat, consider using a crane to gently hoist it out of storage, onto moving vehicles or back in the water. The team at Strate Line has specialty equipment that cushions the hull to keep the boat safe without damaging or scratching the vessel. We have the ability to do tandem crane lifts for sailboats or even accommodate large boats, such as houseboats or even barges that are big enough to park a crane on!
  2. Building docks
Adding a dock, float area or boat parking space can be a challenge. The process is made simple with a crane from land. Our team works with both commercial and residential clients.
  3. Navigate problem areas
Our team is well-versed in working with terrain or locations that can be a challenge. No matter what the area — or the project — our trained team of professionals will be able to complete the work quickly and efficiently.
